Care that feels
like home

Who We Are

At Amoma, we believe that exceptional physical therapy begins with genuine human connection. Every visit is guided by honesty, compassion, and a commitment to helping our patients live safer, healthier, and more independent lives—especially older adults who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes.

As a locally owned practice led by a licensed physical therapist, we are proud to provide personalized, one-on-one care without the limitations of large corporate healthcare systems. Our focus is simple: take the time to listen, understand each patient’s goals, and deliver evidence-based treatment tailored to their unique needs.

Our Story

The foundation of Amoma began with a journey of resilience. Originally from the Philippines, our founder came to the United States with a desire to build a meaningful career dedicated to serving others. Navigating a new country and culture reinforced the importance of empathy, perseverance, and treating every individual with dignity and respect.

Those experiences continue to shape our practice today. We understand that many patients, particularly older adults or those living alone, face challenges that extend beyond their physical condition. Our goal is to provide not only skilled therapy, but also reassurance, encouragement, and compassionate support throughout the recovery process.

The Meaning of "Amoma"

The name Amoma comes from the Cebuano language and means to care for, nurture, foster, or cherish.

To us, healing is about more than exercises or treatment sessions. It is about building trust, empowering patients, and supporting them as they regain confidence and independence. By bringing that spirit of “Amoma” into every home we visit, we strive to ensure that no patient feels alone on their journey to recovery.

Our Mission

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Our business is a private practice, which is the same as those, therapists working in outpatient therapy clinics.
No. That rule only applies to home health agencies. Since we are in private practice, our therapists are allowed to see Medicare patients in their homes regardless of the homebound status.
There are many. First, older patients will not have to worry about driving or getting a ride to a clinic 2-3 times a week. Second, it is more effective for therapists to actually see the limitations & problems senior patients face at home than to try to simulate them in the clinic. Third, patients receive our 100% undivided attention at home, something they won’t always receive in a busy outpatient clinic.
Because we specialize in working with seniors over the age of 65, something most other clinics can’t attest to. Patients will always see the same licensed therapist each visit. Rest assured you are getting the best therapy out there.
A prescription for therapy is optional & encouraged from the patient’s doctor. This means the patient can either contact his or her M.D. first and ask for a prescription to be faxed over to us, or the patient can contact us directly and we can secure a prescription from the M.D. Please give us a call for more information.
